After his friends Mr. Cousin is wounded and Mr. Brother is killed, Earp goes after the people who did it. He learns they are the four members of the Dry Gulch Gang who attacked a supply train for the Cheyenne Indian reservation.
Earp's Cheyenne friends Mr. Cousin and Mr. Brother are ambushed by four men. Mr. Brother is killed and Mr. Cousin severely wounded. Earp and Masterson leave to track the killers. They find the location of the ambush but the killers have gone in four directions. They spot a rider saying a band of Indians are after him. Earp recognizes their leader who shows him a paper from the Indian Agent which gives the names of the four men who make up the Dry Gulch Gang. One of the men stops at a cattle drive camp where the cook tells him Mr. Cousin is still alive. He meets with one of the other four who tells him to go Dodge City disguised to finish the job. He tries but is caught but with no gun and no witness Earp is forced to release him. Earp decides to set a trap for him and then go after the others.—Anonymous
