I see so much of the bad in people, crime and violence, but to see the good things it sort of recharges my spirit. Just like the sun recharges Superman's powers.   Clark Kent : Honey you sustain me.

  Lois Lane : What if the building burns down, what if it explodes? That's been known to happen.

  [Clark rolls his eyes] 

  Lois Lane : Then I would have to start from scratch. Better safe than sorry.

  Clark Kent : Can you say obsessive?

  Lois Lane : I'm obsessively in love with Clark Kent!

• Lois Lane : Clark it's not just the golf tournaments it's the charities, it's the visiting the troupes, it's the hospital reopenings. We hardly ever see each other.

  Clark Kent : Honey I know it's been a busy couple of weeks.

  Lois Lane : It's always a busy couple of weeks and I know there are certain disasters that are unavoidable but all these public appearances.

  Clark Kent : Lois it's all just part of what Superman does.

  Lois Lane : I just think that we need to prioritize. Do you realize it's been over a week since we've made love?

  Clark Kent : 8 days, 6 hours, 4 minutes and 2 seconds. But who's counting?

  Lois Lane : Look, I set aside a day just for us. I checked both of our books and the 16th is wide open. You don't have to worry about anything I've got it all planned out...

  Clark Kent : [Trying to interrupt Lois]  Oh, Lois, Honey, Sweetheart...

  Lois Lane : What?

  Clark Kent : Is that the book you checked?

  Lois Lane : Yeah. I looked in this book, this is your day planner.

  Clark Kent : Yeah...

  [Hands her another book] 

  Clark Kent : Here.

  Lois Lane : You have two books?

  [Opens the second book] 

  Lois Lane : . Superman has a day planner?

  Clark Kent : Honey could you say that a little louder, I don't think everybody heard you?

  Lois Lane : Clark you are booked well into the next century.

  Clark Kent : Most of those dates aren't even confirmed yet. I promise you we can work this out.

  Lois Lane : [Flipping through the second book then handing it to Clark]  You've got something on the 16th.

• Clark Kent : [Arriving home]  Well that was one of the more interesting birthday's I've had.

  Lois Lane : I'm sorry Clark, I really tried to pull off a party for you.

  [Searching her purse for her keys] 

  Clark Kent : That's okay, I like this better anyway.

  Lois Lane : You sure?

  Clark Kent : Yeah, just you and me.

  Lois Lane : Alone at last.

  [They exchange a look as they suddenly realize what that means. Lois drops everything and they start kissing and pulling each others coats off. Clark gets the front door open while they are still kissing and they fall through the door onto the floor, continuing to kiss and undo clothes. The lights suddenly come on and a room full of people shout "Surprise" and then clap. Lois and Clark are shocked and quickly get up pulling clothes back into place] 

  Perry White : I figured the only way to throw a surprise party for you is to surprise both of you. So did it work? Are you surprised?

  Clark Kent : [laughs uncomfortably]  Well, yeah.

  Lois Lane : [Still trying to pull her shirt in place and fix her messed hair]  Stunned.
