The federal government has confiscated Indian land and is allowing white settlers to file claims to it. White outlaws disguised as Indians attack the settlers to stir up trouble between the settlers and Indians. A young Russell Johnson (The Professor on Gilligan's Island) plays one of the settlers being attacked. The Ranger is wounded in the leg early in the episode. With him confined to camp, it's up to Tonto to work alone to find the culprits and keep the tribe off the warpath. In addition to Russell Johnson, familiar supporting actors John Doucette, Harry Lauter, Paul Langton, and Peter Makamos have good roles in this very good episode.
