'Wait till you see what I have for you as a consolation prize.' This is a charity gambling cruise. It's one of those rare cruises where boarding happens at night. (I have no idea why.) McClean Stevenson is excited, intending to sell a rare coin. He immediately chats up Jo Ann Plfug. Nancy and Stu are newlyweds. Yet another friend of Captain Stubing is here. It's Florence, a widow, who's sponsoring the cruise to raise money. Her brother is here too. He's tied up with the suspiciously Italian Al Dixon. She refuses to help him out of his current jam. Were they purposefully going for a moodier lighting scheme here? I'm looking at Captain Stubing's office, in particular. Those are some moody shadows. No one wants moodiness on the Pacific Princess. 'Oh, Stu! Oh, Stu!' On Kafka's Love Boat Scale, this episode gets 2 * out of a possible 4 *.
