Young Bobby is fond of telling lies. Gary Collins is back as his dad. Mary Ann Mobley is his mom. They had marriage problems, and awful Bobby is the result. Julie's friend has come on board. She's all scarred up and hates herself. Can Julie help her get her confidence back? (It's really not that bad, especially in an insane world where people eagerly tattoo their faces.) Of course, Gopher's all over her. Will he still love her when he finds out that she's hideous? Vincent Price s the 'World's Greatest Illusionist.' His spellcasting is superb. His first trick is to turn Doc and Gopher into donkeys. The man even has groupies. For his second trick, he turns the pool into a giant sundae. 'That's my favorite flavor,' Captain Stubing says. Then he puts Isaac's head on a beer. Neat trick. Vincent's problem is that his long-term assistant really wants to marry him. He's not sure. The fighting is beginning to dull his magic wand. Maybe the funniest thing is seeing Vincent Price mess up Gopher's name. The Halloween party is fun. Doc is the Wolfman. Isaac is a Frankenstein Monster. I loved seeing Vincent Price, but the other two plots disappoint. On Kafka's Love Boat Scale, this episode gets 2 1/2 * out of a possible 4 *.
