The metallic gloves the Thrush man was wearing in the opening sequence were the same as those that got stuck on Dr. Smith in Lost In Space "Space Vikings".
In one scene, Illya Kuryakin bursts into a country cabin just as Napoleon Solo is being married to Nina Lillette at gunpoint (literally a "shotgun wedding"). When Solo implores Kuryakin to raise an objection in answer to the minister's request to "speak now or forever hold his peace", Kuryakin proceeds to spin off a story about Solo being his "brother-in-law" and "the father of my sister's nine children", and then starts to list the children's names. He rattles off three names ("... there's Robert, and Eunice, and Edward") before being interrupted. The names of the children he mentions are identical to those of three of the children of Joseph P. Kennedy, Sr. ("Robert" being RFK, and "Edward" being Teddy Kennedy, along with their sister Eunice Kennedy Shriver). Kuryakin's attempt is especially humorous given that series star Robert Vaughn was active in Democratic Party politics and a good friend of the Kennedy family.
