... when Al, Steven, Bud and half a dozen improvised scout children had to face despair completely lost in the middle of the wilderness...their only hope relied on the hero of the family: their loyal dog: BUCK. Al knows that Buck can get home judging for how many times he tried to leave the dog abandoned and he always got home again, so they sent him home with a note on his snout. The dog bravely arrives home...but only God knows how much time will pass before he allows anyone to read the note. HaHaHaH!!!!!!! Thanks for reading.

IMO the funniest episode ever
lnoft9721 June 2017
Al and Steve (the wacky neighbor) take some scouts out into the woods for an overnight camping trip. Peggy and Marcy stay home and hold a poker game, leave the phone off the hook, and it's up to Buck the Dog to rescue the men and scouts....But OMG there's a hilarious monologue by Al! ...Gather 'round the flashlight, campers (because of course there's no campfire with those klutzes at the helm!). Gather 'round to hear the scary, horrible true story of the man who was pursued by a red headed monster! That story, told by the inimitable Al Bundy, should have won Ed O'Neill an Emmy! The funniest 5 minutes of television I have ever seen

Owl in my hair! OWL IN MY HAIR!

Can Buck Save Them in the Woods?
Sylviastel30 May 2009
When Bud and Kelly need to raise money, they rent out their father, Al, to the neighborhood kids for a camping trip in the woods. They bring Steve who gives out fruits and vegetables for Halloween and Buck of course. When they get lost in the woods and need help, they send Buck home to the Bundys to get help. While Peggy is having a card game with Marcy, Fern, Louise, and even Kelly to join in, they chat and talk and leave the phone off the hook. Back then, we did not have cellular phones. Steve who is described by Marcy as a born woodsman get poison oak by eating a poison oak leaf while being tricked by the neighborhood boys. Al tells the story of about how he was a young man who fell in the hands of the red haired dragon.

A solid episode with plenty of laughs!

Kelly (Applegate, looking great in a figure-hugging red dress) wants money for a ticket to a concert (the rock band Oozing Meat). Bud already has a ticket, having sold Al in an auction to a bunch of kids who want him to take them camping. While Al, Bud, Steve and the kids are getting themselves lost in the woods, Peggy organises a poker game with her friends, and Kelly sees an opportunity to win the money she needs.

Kelly in that dress is hard to beat, but the show's other most memorable moments are courtesy of Steve, who sings crap songs around the camp flashlight, is attacked by an owl ("Owl in my hair!") and is tricked by the kids into tasting poison oak leaves which leave him delirious and rambling incoherently ("Oh look father, I sat in something icky."). By cheating at cards, Kelly wins enough money for her ticket and a limo to the gig, but Peggy takes her cut of the cash. Buck the dog arrives at the Bundy house with a message for help from the guys, but refuses to hand it over to Peggy and Kelly, the dog making himself comfortable on the couch.
