The Birds Are Singing!

When Bud meets a girl who is looking for a place to stay, he brings her home. She is pretty, blonde, and young who is on her way to New York City to study art. At first, she is an unwelcome guest. But after Al gets aroused by her presence, Al treats Peggy a lot better. I love the scene where Peggy's friends, the other neighborhood women, come for a visit while their husbands go bowling. They are not the most attractive but not the most unattractive bunch out there. They just want their husbands to know they are alive. Fortunately, this angel from California comes for a visit. The only man not getting aroused is Steve Rhoades who talks about artists with her and makes Marcy jealous.

Al is on fine sexist form in Earth Angel, drooling over Tiffany (Dawn Merrick), the sexy, young, blonde woman Bud brings home to stay for the night, having found the girl hitching her way to art school in New York. The sight of a nubile babe in tight shorts with no bra gets Al horny, so Peggy is happy for the young woman to stay a while longer. Al also makes a little extra money charging his friends to watch the girl do aerobics and sunbathe.

Marcy, however, isn't happy, as Steve is now neglecting his bedroom duties; she pays for Tiffany to catch a flight to New York so that she can pursue her artistic dreams.

Whenever Al is at his most neanderthal, and the show is unashamedly un-PC, that's when Married With Children delivers some of its funniest moments, and Earth Angel is a fine example of this. Al's objectification of Tiffany is so crass that it cannot fail to tickle the ribs, and once again Steve joins in the fun, although he finds Tiffany's artistic brain just as much of a turn on as her toned midriff, perky bosom and great legs.

Not top tier MWC, but still one of the better episodes of season two.
