Al's odometer anguish.
BA_Harrison26 December 2022
Al's Dodge is fast approaching one million miles on the clock and a representative from the car company says that they want to film the vehicle hitting the magic number and feature it in a commercial; in return, Al will get a brand new 1994 Dodge Viper! Al drives his old Dodge so that the readout is all nines and parks the car in his garage ready for the camera crew to arrive the next day. During the night, he becomes worried that something will happen to the car, so he stays up all night to guard it...

I figured I had this episode all worked out: Kelly has been on the search for Waldo and I thought she would take Al's car to go in search of the bobble-hat wearing character. That's not what happens. Al actually falls asleep in his car and accidentally takes off the brake, causing it to roll forwards and the odometer to reset itself to all zeroes. No recording, no Dodge Viper!

This isn't a standout episode - the plot is a little too mundane for that - but there are still some solid laughs to be had, including some amusing potential buyers for Al's car (the Middle Eastern terrorists, not so much) and the country song that plays on Al's radio: "...and that's when my hound dog started looking good to me." And Kelly eventually finds Waldo!
