As the title suggests, this is the first half of a two-parter, and they nearly always disappoint me. In this one, Al is upset when his favourite TV show, Psycho Dad, is cancelled thanks to an anti-violence campaign by Marcy's women's group. Al decides to picket the TV stations, but when that has no effect, he decides to take his protest to Washington...
There are very few laughs to be had in this one -- the premise is weak and there's little in the way of quotable dialogue. A subplot about Kelly and Bud trying to convince their father to let them have a party goes nowhere -- perhaps it will be developed in part two, although I expect that the US political system will be the focus of the humour. Oh joy...
