Kelly moves out!
Sylviastel15 June 2009
Kelly decides it's time to move out after she turned eighteen years old and is legally an adult but she still can't bring boys to her room much to her father's dismay. So she has some money and gets an apartment, Al remembers Kelly growing up and the trouble in her youth. She was always the little star with long bleached blonde hair, stocking, and fashionable clothes. While Kelly moves out, Peggy decides to spoil Bud to the point of her insanity. When Al thinks Kelly's in trouble in her new apartment, he goes to take care of it only ruining the chance that probably Kelly had to move out of the Bundy home. Marcy brings over her date and suggests that Kelly would be better living in a cardboard box outside in an alley than at the Bundy home.

Another Quality Episode

Another 10/10 episode of "Married With Children" in Season 5.

Plot In A Paragraph: Fed up with Al beating up her boyfriends when she brings them home. Kelly moves out. As a result an upset Peggy starts to smother Bud.

I can't praise the cast enough of this show highly enough here. Only Amanda Bearse as Marcy isn't given much to do (showing up in one scene with yet another date) Peggy's (Katey Segel) attempts at showering Bud (Davd Faustino) with affection (having him sit on her knee while she feeds him) are fun, as are the scenes between Bud and Kelly (the gorgeous Christina Applegate) but the highlight of the show is once again Ed O'Neil as Al Bundy. The scenes with Kelly's boyfriends are great, likewise when he turns up at Kelly's new place.

Kelly flies the nest.

Kelly thinks that Al doesn't respect her as an adult (on account of him throwing her boyfriends out when they try to go up to her room), so she moves into an apartment. Peggy subsequently smothers Bud with affection, treating him like a child, and declares to Al that she wants another baby (he says he would rather dive off the Sears Tower head first onto a thumb tack). Al is worried about his little girl, so he pays her a visit and discovers that she is sharing with a room-mate.

Not an especially memorable episode, but it has its moments: Bud calling a kinky hotline for naughty young men, Marcy paying a visit with her new boyfriend, and Al bashing Kelly's boyfriend Jake into the bannisters, wall and door before launching him out of the house (some great physical comedy from Ric Waugh, who is now a Hollywood producer and director).
