Get Out or Put Out!
Sylviastel11 December 2009
I never really liked this episode with guest star, Corey Feldman, who played one of Kelly's dates. He plays Ralph, the jerk, who takes her out on a date but Kelly doesn't play her usual role. She actually becomes a lot more real in this episode. Ralph expects a tramp but Kelly doesn't become one. Instead, she demands respect from Ralph. While Kelly and Ralph are on their date, Bud is trying hard to find a girl that he could go out with even with some disease. Anyway, Liz Vassey and Lisa Rieffel play other girls who decided to get out instead of put out. It's nice to see Corey Feldman who was once a star in this episode. He does his usual gig in playing a jerk.

A better episode.

The secondary story, if I remember, has Bud, the horny adolescent, dealing with his rubber surrogate girl friend. The irrelevant and soon-to-be-disappeared "Seven" makes his usual dull appearance. But the episode is saved by Kelly's experience with her greasy, leather-clad boyfriend on a rural road at night.

The boyfriend pulls the car over and says they're out of gas. The engine is still running. Kelly eyes him suspiciously and asks if he's not supposed to shut off the engine before he says that. So the kid shuts the engine off and says, "Okay, now we're out of gas." Kelly: "REALLY?" The incident is filled with amusing exchanges. The greaseball -- a great performance by the actor who plays Ralph -- says, "Kelly, I'm sure there's a lot more to you than meets the eye. The problem is I'm not interested in that part of you." Told to "put out or get out," Kelly gets out and marches off alone down the road. She runs into three other girls who have suffered the same fate. They're waiting at a sign that says, "Deer Crossing," and don't want to walk farther because it might be against the law, like a traffic light. The four girls commiserate with each other. One whines, "What does a girl have to do to get respect in this town -- wear UNDERWEAR?" I can't go on with this because it would spoil the gags, but this episode is worth catching.

Ten more to go...

Out of desperation I did some research and precocious brat Seven is only in twelve episodes: I can do this! Thankfully, the little tyke's hardly in this one, which makes matters more bearable even though this is far from prime MWC.

Peggy wants to improve her relationship with Al and decides that talking with him is the answer. Meanwhile, Kelly is on a date with Ralph (Corey Feldman), who kicks her out of his car when she won't put out. Bud also has a date: with a girl who has measles.

Feldman gets the best line - 'I'm sure there's a lot more to you than meets the eye; unfortunately, I don't really care about that part.' - but the rest of the gags are just so-so. The episode does end on a touching note with Bud meeting Ralph and intentionally giving him measles as payback for treating Kelly badly.

One of the better episodes for me. Kelly doesn't play her usual role which is very refreshing as i always got really sick of her being portrayd that way. She is ditched by a guy (a total jerk) and doesn't get a ride home when she refuses to put out. She's in the middle of nowhere but marches on to get home to Chicago. On the way she meets two other girls in the same situation, they start lamenting about being called t**mps and over the fact that it's the men that are the real t**mps as they are always willing to "do it" (which is 100% true). They decide to get even with Kelly's date and it's just hilarious. Also Bud who was on a date with a girl who had the measles show up at the end, where Kelly's date was left after the girls stole his car. Kelly's former date starts talking to Bud and laments himself to Bud that this t**mp named Kelly Bundy didn't put out. As Bud realizes that he's talking about his sister, he gives the guy a friendly hug, only to reveal afterwards that he got the measles from the girl he was with, and that he's highly contagious. "Consider that a gift from Kelly" he says and walks off. One of the few times that i've seen Bud sticking up for Kelly, and it's priceless!

Also, Kelly (Christina Applegate) looks absolutely gorgeous in this episode, wearing a red dress that makes her look so effortlessly beautiful.
