Queen of the Tots!
Sylviastel16 June 2009
Bud has a chance to spend time with the President at the White House in Washington D.C. but he needs a $100 in a once in a lifetime opportunity while Kelly needs a $100 to buy a dress so she can become miss weenie tot in a contest. What to do according to Al? Well, if your favorite food is weenie tots and you don't even know the President of the United States' name, then I guess you pick Kelly's choice. Sadly, Bud is left home but unhappy because he could have been playing video games with Vice President Dan Quayle or riding Air Force One. As one of the broadcasters stated, "I guess the other student had better things to do than to spend time with the President." Ironically, Al wins a year supply of weenie tots only that Peggy discovers a contest for $50,000 if she can get the scratch off. There is just one problem. The Bundys can't collect the winnings because they're related to Kelly.

Another Solid Episode

Another quality episode of "Married With Children" in Season 5.

Plot In A Paragraph: Al forgoes giving money to Bud for a class trip to Washington DC to meet the president, so he can give the money to Kelly who's going to an audition for the Miss Weenie Tot spokesperson. When Kelly lands the spot, Al gets a year's supply of his favourite food.

After last weeks great episode, it once again focus's heavily on Al and Kelly. Katey Segel is OK as Peggy, but her selfish behaviour is becoming annoying. Davd Faustino is given a bit more to do as Bud, likewise Amanda Bearse and Ted McGinley as Marcy and Jefferson who have been relegated to one scene each episode. The gorgeous Christina Applegate is a delight, and looks great, and Ed O'Neil is once again hilarious as Al Bundy.

Season 5 of Married With Children is the show at the height of it's greatness.

"Get out of the way, Behemoth!"

Bud has been selected to be one of five students to meet the president at The White House and needs $100 for the trip. However, Kelly also needs $100 for a new dress so that she can enter a contest to become Miss Weenie Tot and win a year's supply of the tasty snack. Guess who gets the last $100 dollars in the Bundy coffers...

This is another great episode for fans of Kelly, who, along with several other hot contestants in skimpy outfits, dances, limbos and aerobicises in front of the leering Weenie Tot employees to try and win the competition. Kelly is successful and Al is excited by the prospect of twelve months of processed food; however, when Peggy learns that each pack of Weenie Tots contains a scratch card that could win her $50k, she opens them all, ruining the snacks in the process.

Amazingly, the last box contains the winning card, but the Bundy's aren't eligible because Kelly is a Weenie Tot employee. Jefferson and Marcy agree to claim the cash, splitting it 50/50 with their neighbours, but with Kelly presenting the prize, nothing goes as planned.

This episode illustrates just how little consideration the Bundys have for each other: Al gives Kelly the money he had handed to his son; a despondent Bud is left watching the other four students on TV enjoying their once-in-a-lifetime experience, and his parents think that some ice cream will cheer him up; Peggy opens all of the Weenie Tots, despite Al asking her not to; and Kelly ruins her parents chance at banking $25K, but at least she has the excuse that she is stupid.
