That's the pot calling the kettle Maude.

Warning: Spoilers
Maude and a bunch of her activist friends are involved in a protest concerning a teenager arrested for pot possession, and it's up to Maude to get the pot. After arguing with Walter, she ends up taking in oregano instead creating all sorts of humorous conflict at the police station. Elizabeth Fraser returns Lorraine, although there's no mention of her pregnancy from a few episodes before. It is another amusing episode with social issues as the major conflict, and the resolution is very ironic.

Maude The Pothead

Maude protests the arrest of a teenager for possession of marijuana, she tries to buy some pot herself to get arrested along with her friends.

An amusing episode. It begins with many attempts to get the pot, even asking her own nephew. She even thinks Florida could help, since she is black and must know some musicians! When she is unable to get the real thing she brings a bag of oregano to the police station. This starts a funny encounter with a police sergeant played by Frank Campenella. The show ends on a surprising serious note.
