Arthur arrives and he is totally different, not only romantic but not as cheap as he usually is. Then he returns in the next scene acting more like himself. He makes a confession that he has a crazy twin brother Arnold who escaped from an institution. Maude has a funny encounter with Arnold thinking at first it is Arthur. One of the best scenes in the series is when both are together at the same time. Conrad Bain had played both parts until this final scene when it is revealed that there is an actual identical twin Bonar Bain. He also made a memorable appearance on SCTV years later.
