The script was original which is a plus. The writers are dumbing down the episode lead actors as a strategy. But, the characters are so dumbed down they're nothing like they usually are. I can see it for needed flexibility but they could've carried it too far.
Now brain dead Millie dived head first into buying an egg farm with no farming knowledge, training, and professional advice. Script really takes a wrong turn with Sam Jones (Ken Berry) turning his back on his girlfriend letting her sink.
Would've been a better story if she righted the ship after early struggles. Then, sold the successful egg farm for an even heftier profit. The whole idea that Millie HAD to fail left a sour taste.
Even with the weak sexist script it was good to see an Arlene Golonka episode. A treat to see Kay Kuter who portrayed one of the best classic sitcom dimwits of all time (Newt Kiley on "Green Acres").
