Millie is fired up after talking to one of her old friends from Raleigh, Renee (Marianna Hill), a New York fashion model whose boyfriend has just walked out on her. She's comes to stay with Millie for a few days. Millie has to work all afternoon and asks Sam to show her around so she won't be lonely and upset. They have a pleasant afternoon in Mayberry and return home where Millie warns she is coming down with something. She had promised Renee to the movies and asks Sam to go in her place. Renee is eager about the new arrangement. Meanwhile, Aunt Bee comes to take care of Millie. Sam and Renee return home late, laughing and stay up later talking. Renee can't hide her feelings for Sam and becomes enamored by how real people are in the country and the lifestyle. A worried Millie confides in Aunt Bee who devises a plan.

Beautiful Marianna Hill as Renee Miller (Fredo's wife in "The Godfather 2") energizes a ridiculous script. It's Mayberry so of course Millie Swanson (Arlene Golonka) and Sam Jones (Ken Berry) are oblivious to a potentially volatile situation percolating. Cardboard cutout Sam isn't aware of Renee's sights are pointed at him. Even after the awkward hand holding at the diner and multiple signals of interest she's sending in his direction.
A good amount of screen time for stunning Arlene Golonka. Lame scripts comedy wise on the bright side are occasionally giving the supporting cast room to show their various scting talent other than their usually bland character's obligatary lines.
