After the guy throws the girl on the couch at the beginning Crockett's boat is still moving towards the building and then all of a sudden they are at the door when the boat is still moving toward the restaurant.

Crockett and Tubbs discuss what will happen to Jerry, who had shot and killed Vinnie. They stated he'd go to prison, however when Vinnie was shot, he was holding several people at gunpoint. Under Florida law at the time, Jerry's use of force was legally justifiable as deadly force in defense of others, so it was unlikely he'd be sent to prison.
