• Michael Anthony : [after a short introductory chat with Mrs. Dubrock, Michael Anthony enters the apartment kitchen, where Johanna Judson is at work preparing Mrs. Dubrock's dinner]  Um, Miss Johanna Judson?

  Johanna Judson : Yes.

  Michael Anthony : [Producing a check from a small briefcase]  My name is Michael Anthony. I have a gift for you - this check.

  Johanna Judson : [Ignoring the check]  Check for me? From whom?

  Michael Anthony : [Still holding the check]  The donor must remain anonymous.

  Johanna Judson : [Continuing to ignore the check]  How much is it?

  Michael Anthony : It's a cashier's check for $1,000,000, and the taxes have already been paid.

  Johanna Judson : Did you say a million dollars?

  Michael Anthony : [Becoming a bit exasperated]  Yes, I did. Here... Please.

  [Johanna accepts the check. Anthony extracts a document from his briefcase] 

  Michael Anthony : You'll simply agree to tell no one, except your husband if you should marry, the exact amount or how you received the money. If you should tell, you will forfeit what remains.

  Johanna Judson : A million dollars. I can do anything I want with it?

  Michael Anthony : Anything. Now Miss Judson, if you will just sign this.

  [Johanna signs the document] 

  Michael Anthony : Thank you, Miss Judson.

  [Anthony returns the signed pledge to his case] 

  Michael Anthony : Good luck and, uh, goodbye.

  [Anthony leaves the kitchen] 

  Johanna Judson : Thank you.
