  Michael Anthony : [Anthony, with a wry expression, gives the check to Adams]  Perhaps this check will ease the pain. It's for one million dollars, tax-free.

  Prof. Amberson Adams : [Examining check]  What is this? Some new quiz show? 'Do You Trust Your Professor?'

  Michael Anthony : [Chuckles]  No.

  Prof. Amberson Adams : Well, then, what is it?

  Michael Anthony : A gift from an anonymous donor. It's yours,

  [Retrieving a document from his briefcase] 

  Michael Anthony : if you will observe a few simple rules. You must tell no one the exact amount or how you got it, except your wife, should you marry. If you do, the balance will be reclaimed. That's all.

  [Offering the agreement] 

  Michael Anthony : Just sign here.

  Prof. Amberson Adams : This is unbelievable. It's Unbelievable. Are you sure there isn't some catch to this?

  Michael Anthony : None. The money's yours, in your bank, in your account. You may spend it as you wish.

  Prof. Amberson Adams : [Thinking of how to spend the gift]  You know, I might just do that.
