- [first lines]
- Frank Kearney: Relax, Milt. Nothing's that heavy.
- Milt Anderson: I'm just figuring. That boatload of "H" ought to be worth about... 6 million.
- Frank Kearney: Eight.
- Person on Tape: [voice on tape] Good morning, Jim. Seven weeks from now, on November 10th, $8 million worth of heroin will be landed at an unknown point along the coast. Undercover agent, Milt Anderson, lost his life trying to find out where. Only two men know the actual landing site. Alvin Taynor, biggest narcotics dealer in the Northwest, and Frank Kearney, his chief executioner. Conventional law enforcement agencies have been unable to develop any further information. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to intercept that heroin, and to get Taynor and Kearney. This tape will self-destruct in five-seconds. Good luck, Jim.
- Alvin Taynor: You tell Mister Mallet, that if he keeps bothering me and my people, he may not be alive in early November
- Willy Armitage: Manny, one thing about Kearney, he never carries his gun in the same place all the time. Sometimes it's a holster, sometimes his pocket. Is that going to bother you?
- Manny: Nah, I don't think so. Barney
- [pulls out Barney's wallet and tosses it back to Barney]
- Manny: Willy
- [jingles Willy's keys]
- Manny: Sorry, Jim, I just couldn't resist trying to fool the experts.
- Frank Kearney: Gun's broken. I couldn't pull that trigger.
- James Phelps: The trouble's with you, Kearney, not with the gun.
