This classic episode was filmed at the sprawling Indian Dunes in Valencia, California, background for many movies and tv shows, such as the BLACK SHEEP SQUADRON with Robert Conrad. There is a super dune buggy chase scene, well done with some expert stunt drivers. One to watch. This is a timely episode, all about anti-Vietnam protests and the explosion death of a well known activist. Whodunit? Julie gets floored in the explosion, but appears to come out of it without a scratch? By now, we're used to it. The great actor Arthur Franz appears again in the series, in a much larger role, as a business man caught up in the mayhem. Franz was in many cult films throughout his career, best known for THE SNIPER as a deranged war vet. Also look for Tony Dow (LEAVE IT TO BEAVER) still looking like Wally, but with longer hair. Tony always popped up in guest roles on tv shows, here playing one of the buggy enthusiasts. This runs fast and is a fun watch. SEASON 4 EPISODE 7 dvd box set.

Wally Cleaver as a bad guy? Sorry, I'm not buying it. Ane neither will you as Tony Dow plays one of the suspects who gets into a wimpy fistfight with a guy old enough to be his father in this episode set at a dune buggy race, where a young man's death by dynamite turns what was supposed to be a fun experience for Pete into another case for the Squad.

An average episode. Julie looks particularly cute in the track scenes that really show off her freckles. Also love her matching mauve helmet and satin jacket ensemble. Linc saves the day in this one and the groovy soundtrack during the climax is more enjoyable than the race itself.
