When Micky Dolenz loses his voice and can't sing his solo piece, it shuts down the entire act. The Monkees completely overlook the possibility that Michael Nesmith, Peter Tork, or Davy Jones could sing it, as they surely know the words - when you rehearse lines with other people, you learn everyone else's lines. Or they could simply choose, from among their extensive list, a song which doesn't require Mickey's voice.
