- Jessica Fletcher is on a movie set in Rome where her friend, producer Boyce Brown, is filming one of her novels. She's actually doing re-writes on the script and her original story is practically unrecognizable. The movie is being filmed in Italy for financial reasons - the story is set in the U.S. - but Boyce is upset with his Italian partner, Raimondo Bonelli, when he's been unable to pay the crew for two weeks. Bonelli is in hock to loan sharks. The film's star Kate Danbury and it's director Monte Hayes are divorced and their son Gary Hayes does his best to have his parents at least talk to one another. He doesn't have much success, however. When stuntman Webb Prentiss is killed in a stunt that goes badly, Monte Hayes is is arrested for murder but Jessica figures it all out.—garykmcd
