Much like a Lucy Ricardo, Fran Fine gets her longest laugh in this hilarious episode. Fran shines very well in her physical comedy, and even though it is a bit naughty in comparisons to I Love Lucy, Fran still gives a very Lucy like performance in this classic episode of The Nanny, and with a witty line from Niles the butler, the laughter continues and it is one you should see.

Maggie's descriptions of hospital activities is as tasteless as C.C.'s cooking.

When Maggie gets a volunteer position at the nearest undisclosed Manhattan hospital, it's time to keep your finger on the fast forward button in preparation for her seemingly innocent thoughts on what she's witnessed. The episode improves greatly when Fran takes over for Maggie and must shave Maxwell in preparation for surgery as Maxwell is suffering from pains from eating C.C.'s experimental cooking and requires an appendectomy. The scene of her shaving him has become one of the series most memorable, rather risque but hysterically funny. Of course, Niles walks in just in the nick of time, creating a lot more humor. Charles Shaugnessy doesn't even flinch or giggle, making it all the more funny. Secondly, this doesn't represent any realistic view of how a hospital runs, but other than Maggie's comments, that's okay. Note to self as a fast forwarding moment, Maggie's grossest line comes at the end inside the Sheffield kitchen.
