This is one of the biggest episodes for young Gracie who, as a Red Robin girl scout must find a surrogate grandmother at grandma Yetta's retirement home. Unfortunately, they keep kicking the bucket or buying the farm, and before long, every time Gracie goes to look for a new one, the sitting seniors all of a sudden can run like Jim Thorpe. That makes Fran insist that Yetta volunteers which grandma is not happy about. Of course she loves all of Fran's charges, she just doesn't want to be the next victim of the curse. Another subplot has Fran celebrating her first anniversary working for Maxwell and dropping hints that she would like some sort of acknowledgement. This leads to Maxwell thanking her publicly and a funny plot twist involving the shocked C.C. This episode is filled with great lines and funny situations, making it one of the most memorable of the second season.
