Good friends, amazing life.
Jerique6 April 2010
In The Model Home, Ryan is taken to Seth's housing developments in an option to keep Ryan around but so that he doesn't have to lose his best friend. Marissa catches wind of their plan and tags along. It's really a great friendship episode as we can watch Seth belittle Marissa but still show compassion for her in the end.

Ryan is developed and we learn a little more about Marissa and Jimmy. We are revealed about Jimmy's secret and Marissa and Ryan begin to connect on a romantic level, while Seth still pines over Summer. Kirsten is trying to understand Sandy's need to play Dad for Ryan. It's got a lot of emotion in the episode, mixed with unanticipated amounts of dangerous drama.

The Model Home (#1.2)

Warning: Spoilers
Now that his mother took off Ryan will have to live in a foster home or a group home so he decides to take off. Seth helps him out and comes up with the idea of Ryan staying in his mother's model home. Marissa helps them out too. When Luke finds it out he fights with Ryan and the house burns down but he comes for Ryan's help.

The second episode is sure better than the first. It didn't have too many bad moments. The exception was the conversation of Marisa and Ryan. Cringe! So over dramatic, so horribly written, so badly acted. The two should not be doing scenes together although I have a feeling there will be way more. Rachel Bilson who plays Summer is pretty awful too, but luckily there isn't much of her.

Adam Brody continued being a great Seth. My favorite character so far. Was also interesting to see Kirsten and Jimmy talking, they seem to have a past. And the best part was Luke helping Ryan out of the burning home and defending him to police. Kind of acted out of character that I imagined him to be.

The One With The Model Home...

Warning: Spoilers
I enjoy this episode. It's a good follow-up to the Series Premiere.

In this episode, Ryan's Mother disappears and he is now faced with the prospect of life in a group home. So he decides to run away from Newport, with the help of Marissa and Seth. They take him to a model home, where he stays, until Marissa goes there, Luke follows her, sees something he doesn't like, goes in and fights Ryan, and the house gets set on fire. They end up in jail, and of course, Luke gets to go home, whilst Ryan doesn't.

Overall, I give this episode an 8 out of 10, which in my ratings book is: Awesome.
