A group of scientist experiment with releasing the "human spirit" in a group of test cases. When things get out of hand, they terminate these people but fail to realize that while the bodies may be dead, there might be peripheral spirit floating around, ready to possess the bodies of living people. The story takes place in a mental hospital during a blizzard. A man shows up, falls to the floor, and dies. But then all hell breaks loose. Various patients and doctors begin to exhibit psychosis and violence. It turns out that the spirit of this man has some begun to excite vengeance. One young female psychiatrist is the target. It turns out she was part of the termination of the aforementioned patients in the experiment. This is one of those episodes where one can empathize with what would be almost a Dante-esque kind of endless torture. It is one of those really depressing episodes that seems to have no possible release. It is stuff of perpetual nightmares.
