"I Was a Teenage Teenager"
JordanThomasHall29 April 2020
Cathy reads the number one bestselling book written by a 16-year-old French girl who has become a trend-setter in Paris. It's about life, as seen through the eyes of a teenage girl. Some of the stories are familiar to Patty in her own life and thinks she could do the same in America. She sets out to write her book "I Was a Teenage Teenager" from the attic. Her father reads it to find it full of wild tales and Hemmingway dialogue. He critiques it for lacking her authenticity. Patty defends it and successfully signs a contract with a publisher. Martin is puzzled and begins questioning whether he misjudged it. When the flattering publisher Mr. Blair (Roger C. Carmel, "The Mothers-In-Law") comes to the Lane household things become a little clearer.
