This is the third and final appearance David Doyle makes in the series and, as he does each time, playing Richard's father. The other two appearances occur in Going Steady (1964) and The Drop Out (1964).
Although he has two credited roles in the series, Scott Glenn appears here repeating his role as the waiter in the malt shop, this time without credit, also without dialogue. His earlier credited appearances occur in The Perfect Hostess (1965) and Cathy, the Rebel (1965).
Underscoring her talent and popularity for singing, later in the year this episode was aired, i.e. 1965, Patty Duke would release record singles on the United Artist label that landed in the top 40 on the music charts: "Don't Just Stand There" (at #8) and "Say Something Funny" (at #22). Her folk singing chops are on display in the record album (Patty Duke Sings Folk Songs: Time to Move On) that was recorded in 1968, again on United Artists label, but not released until 2013.
