Patty is excited that the new boy, Chuck Farrel's (Stuffy Singer, "Blondie"), car has broken down in front of her house. She talks to him with his upper half hidden underneath the car working on it. He wants to go to the beach hangout Ga-Ga-Go-Go but has too many chores and asks to hire Ross to mow his lawn. Patty raves about Chuck to Cathy who states all they've seen are his feet. Ross wants to drop French class and being uncomfortable as the only boy in it. Patty agrees to talk their dad into it if he will mow Chuck's grass. Ross makes a mess of things as Chuck's neighbor Penelope Fowler (Diane Mountford) watches him. Ross soon can't be found. Patty grows anxiously agitated as she fears her desired date with Chuck may be in jeopardy. Ross soon grows anxious in a different way.
