Brooklyn Heights High Principal Mr. Brewster (Charles White) picks Cathy for the annual ritual of sitting in as principal for a week. She will sit in on the faculty meeting and be in charge of some of the classes. While Cathy is teaching, Patty incessantly fires off quips to the questions asked of the class. Cathy gives Patty several demerits to Patty. Cathy decides to throw the paper away, but Mr. Brewster walks in to find it and make Patty stay after school, missing a big basketball game. Martin feels Patty has always had an in-charge mentality and needs to learn discipline. Patty briefly makes up with Cathy until she finds out that Cathy went to the game with Richard. Patty divides their room into "Hers" and "Mine". Natalie begins to diagnose the real problem.
