The conclusion to this was quite satisfying. But it was not contrived. The rule of law came into play every step of the way and Bone did what was right. What he was also right about was the slipshod way the cops handled the case. I was hoping that somehow the father shooting at the suspect would be addressed. No matter how much anger he was feeling, he should have been sitting in a cell right afterward. The one relatively touchy subject was the sanctity of the confessional.
