The episode opens with a mysterious woman in Harry Rule's apartment. She tells him to stop looking for Bennett, Harry refuses and he gets a gun pointing at him.

Meanwhile Bennett is in a clinic in Paris. A Russian medic called Shkoder (Michael Gough) is brainwashing him. Trying to make the man think he is not Bennett but an agent who was impersonating him. Now he has to stop pretending.

Maybe it is all lies. The Protectors need to get to the hospital and find Bennett. He is one of their Canadian agents.

Unfortunately for Paul Buchet, he needs to be injured so he could be hospitalised. Harry has to throw a few punches.

An element of psychological torture was good but you wonder why this agent Bennett was not behind the Iron Curtain. I assume Shkoder is working for the Russians.

The break out from the cell by the Protectors was good. Good use of Parisian locations but it was an odd choice for this story.
