How more perfect for Halloween could this episode be.

I loved this one, I'm sure my co-workers in the airline crew room thought that I was going crazy laughing at all the irony that is held in this show. For example the scare crow in the yard, flying objects (skulls, the joke about flying knives at the end) the teenager's name is Stevie. The minute I heard the name I knew who that was supposed to be. Stevie's got a dog named Kujo, and is picked up by his mom "Mrs. King" I couldn't stop laughing. But what I really liked was when the Devil appeared as Al and demanded "Who gave you the right to go leaping around in time? Bungling around, putting right what I made wrong?" The nice red glow around Dean Stockwell's crazy eyes, was a fantastic touch too. It happens to be about 2 weeks before Halloween as I write this and one thought that I had was "how perfect that I saw this so close to Halloween.

Horror Comes to Quantum Leap
Shaffyre25 December 2008
An excellent episode with Sam leaping into a house of horrors. A handyman is killed after he falls from his ladder after Sam sees a goat pull on a rag that was tied to it. Problem is, nobody else has seen the goat or where the goat could have come from in the first place. Then an old lady friend is killed by a snake. Is his wife the killer or maybe the town sheriff? Sam has to figure this one out while more and more strange things happen. Then there's this boy named Stevie who wants to write a book. While driving a red and white 1958 Plymouth Fury Sam crashes and then tells Stevie that "its almost like the car drove itself."

Best QL ever.

Great job Chris and Joe for writing and directing my favorite episode of Quantum Leap. I just saw it for the millionth time last night. I've watched it every October since it aired. First on a VHS recording, then a DVD, now streaming on netflix. I still love it. Unfortunately, I know what they're going to say before they say it every time I watch it now. One of my few remaining rituals every year. I work in TV now, and don't have time to watch TV much anymore. There's so many little things in this episode. It must have been a labor of love.

Worth seeing for sure, if you haven't.

A Halloween Classic!

Warning: Spoilers
I love Quantum Leap, but I especially love this episode and have made it essential Halloween watching every year. OK, maybe not everyone in my circle of family and friends understands my need to watch this, but the point is it's a great Halloween episode. You have the typical Quantum Leap episode characteristics: Sam in an unfamiliar place/time, he stumbles a lot, there's a mystery, he meets someone famous in the future, and people die. But then you have this amazing twist with Al and a goat and a scary, creepy scene where he and Sam turn into a tornado and it is quite amazing. I can't get Al's voice out of my head. Yet I must watch this every year...
