Christopher George: Sgt. Sam Troy

Quotes

  • [first lines]

Sgt. Sam Troy : [looking at a photograph of a Nazi soldier in uniform]  So this is "Buttercup"?

Prochek : Oberleutnant Gustaf Friedrich Luden. Ex-group leader in the Afrika Korps, captain of the first twelve-day campaign. And the first of what Command hopes will be the first of many German defectors who are fed up with Hitler, and have the guts to do something about it.

Sgt. Sam Troy : And you want us to go in and bring him out as soon as possible?

Prochek : Exactly. Besides the fact the Germans may be onto Luden, we have a practical reason for wanting him out, too.

Sgt. Jack Moffitt : What's that, sir?

Prochek : He'll bring the current Gerry codes with him.

Sgt. Sam Troy : That should give 'em a headache for a couple of months.

Prochek : At least. Alright, Sergeant, you're on you way.

Sgt. Sam Troy : Well, don't worry, sir. We'll bring him out.

  • Capt. Hans Dietrich : What you don't seem to understand, Sergeant, is that there are standing orders pertaining to your group. You're considered to be something very special.

Sgt. Sam Troy : Well, don't go to any trouble on our account, Captain.

Capt. Hans Dietrich : Believe me, Sergeant, the trouble would be all yours.

  • [last lines]

Pvt. Mark Hitchcock : Sarge, you look like the cat that swallowed the mouse.

Sgt. Sam Troy : [grinning broadly]  C'mon, move it out!
