The Hostages is one of my two favorite episodes of the 217 rawhide shows it the the sweet nature of Gil Favor as relates to the youngest little girl. He really does a great job in making her smile with stories of his own running away when he was her size. She felt safe with him holding her hand. A wonderful heart rendering show.

The three are Leslie Wales, Tony Haig, and Morgan Brittany and hw they came to the Apaches is quite different from the way Lana/Natalie Wood did with the Comanches in The Searchers. The three bond with and accept the drovers, but Apache chief Josph Perry wants his people back and make no mistake, he regards them as his people.
Good episode, but don't think this will be a small screen version of Thje Searchers,
