Last not least, one more episode set in France. The excuse for yet another episode in the same country is Sydney's grandma, who lived in Paris as a dancer and was accused many years ago to have stolen a valuable diadem, but Sydney reads her grandma's diary and discovers in about 5 seconds that the real thief probably was another girl in love with the same guy, an English aristocrat. Sydney goes to Paris to talk to the suspect and make her confess the truth, better late than never.
There are some beautiful flashbacks with Tia Carrere playing Sydney's grandma, just singing on stage when she is arrested by the police. You probably know that Tia Carrere is also a singer in real life, she contributed songs for example to the soundtrack of 'Wayne's World'. I also loved the scene when Sydney is listening to a French chanson, played by an old gramophone, because it is sad and melancholic, rather unusual for the final episode of a season.
