- TriviaThis episode features the last of 6 co-appearances by brothers Joseph Campanella and Frank Campanella in various movies and television shows. Unlike some of their earlier appearances, they do appear on-screen together briefly near the end of this episode.
- Goofs(at around 24 mins) When Rockford is driving to evade the car with Beth's pursuers, the shot from the car's left front fender shows only Rockford and the car in pursuit. The camera has Rockford a bit too close to the center of the shot, making enough of the front passenger seat visible enough to reveal that seat to be empty; Beth has disappeared for that entire shot.

Rockford vs. Bros. Campanella
A nice opening scene has Jim fishing on the beach, and we can see Rocky waddling down from the trailer to get his son so they both can go look at a truck Rocky's interested in buying, and when things get in the way, Rocky never gets the chance to see the truck, which turns out to a clunker anyway. Back to the premise, Beth gets herself jailed, and poisoned shortly after, and she needs Jim to help her and to answer some important questions. She gives him her safe combination to retrieve some important documents for her client, Arnold Bailey(Joseph Campanella), but then gets himself beaten up by 2 goons, as they steal what she needed. Joseph's actual brother, Frank, also stars as a miserable goon named Marty Jordan, who was behind Beth's poisoning and the murder of a former associate named Fred Metcalf(Richard Venture), and it had something to do with union funds. Other than no Angel in this episode, there are many scenes with Rocky, a few with Dennis, especially a nice one at the hospital and a funny one with Jim at a taco stand, and a Rockford veteran actor in Joe E. Tata(Solly Marshall), who starred in 8 total episodes, and has a rather interesting scene with Jim as a bail bondsman. The ending has Rockford and Bailey taken hostage by Jordan and his goons in a car, until Rockford somehow pushes down the gas pedal of the big ugly sedan until is drives right into the pool, where he's able to find a gun and hold them at bay until the police come to take care of matters and arrest the bad guys. The very last scene has Jim once again fishing, while Beth is in a chair, and Rocky's happy that he never got to see that truck. I would most definitely recommend this episode as the show is in stride and better seasons are to come. Let me finally mention James Garner's pronounced limp, as he certainly does his share of stunts here, and you have to feel sorry for the beating he took, even though it makes for a great time.
