A nice return to form
pkfloydmh27 September 2021
This one is about Danko being shot and Webster being taken hostage by some gunrunners.

This is a nice recovery from the two previous fiascos that started the season and even though there's yet another hostage crisis, which has already been done numerous times on this show and an endless number of times on other TV shows as well, it's well-done here.

There are two obvious plot holes - the hoods call Webster and show up at his apartment complex when they had no way of knowing what his phone number or address is.

Ryker is incredibly annoying once again as he suddenly starts yelling for no reason while he's giving a briefing at the station.

Michael Parks is a big weakness as he's constantly mumbling and is difficult to hear. I don't know why he's an actor since he DOESN'T SPEAK CLEARLY.

Bruce Fairbairn's hair is really curly now and looks nothing like it does in the opening title sequence or when he first joined the show. It looked much better when it was straight and just looks goofy now.

Jill has several scenes in the hospital as Danko and a couple of the goons recover from their gunshot wounds.

The woman who is taken hostage by Crilen in the hospital keeps showing up in the wrong place at the wrong time as this is the same woman who was taken hostage by the gun store thieves in A Test of Courage from last season.

There's lots of action, including chases, spinouts, shootouts, and fights. For the first time since The Hunting Ground (Season 3, Episode 16), there are some car chases and they're good ones too.

This is a solid episode, although it's taken down a few notches by Ryker, Michael Parks and the plot holes. The series is back on track and has returned to form after the two previous bombs.
