A plane lands at the Rangers' station, but when Cutter and Rashid approach, they realize the plane is in the hand of terrorists who threaten to kill everyone on board, including an important ambassador. To make things a bit more complicated, medicine is on that plane which is needed urgently to fight a disease that broke out in Kali's village. A clumsy attempt by N'Gama's men to shoot the terrorists fails, Rashid is injured and added to the hostages. What they need now is an experienced negotiator, because if the army intervenes again, many hostages might be killed. Cutter happens to know the toughest negotiator of them all: a certain Amanda Cutter (Yvette Nipar), his ex-wife...
Great episode with a lot of action and surprising turns. The script is clever and witty (Mendelsohn, is that you? I thought you were dead." - That would explain my listless behavior."), and Amanda is a charismatic character (for you wouldn't believe our hero Cutter would have married a wall-flower, right?). Sheena is feeling left out, though.
