Eric Braeden was originally supposed to be the voice actor for the character Herbert Landon. However, Braeden was uncomfortable with voice acting and story editor John Semper said Braeden gave "a very wooden performance" as Landon. David Warner ultimately took the role as Landon.
Gambit's eyes are white with red pupils, while in X-Men: The Animated Series (1992), his eyes are black with red pupils.
The fight Wolverine has with Spider-Man at the end of the episode is inspired by a fight the two had in "Spider-Man vs. Wolverine"#1.
The Kingpin financially backing the Brand Corporation's mutant research was added to this adaptation for this season's ongoing Neogenic Nightmare storyline.
