In this series Robert Farrell is an only child with a mother that has a sickness that could kill her and owns a grocery store that is harassed by criminal punks demanding protection money. In the comics, Robert was the oldest of seven children and had to become responsible for all of them after his mother Emma Johnson died.
This episode features the first appearance of Jason Phillips, a man who starts dating Felicia Hardy.

In this series, Robert Farrell is depicted as a teenager in a crime-ridden neighborhood where he was constantly in trouble with the police and whose mother owned a store that is harassed by criminals demanding protection money. Robert had great skill in gyro mechanisms due to working at the Science Center taught by Peter Parker. He stole parts of his technology from Jackson Weele (the criminal mastermind behind the Big Wheel) and used them to create a cybernetically controlled, rocket-powered magnetic skateboard which he travels with and can attain speeds of 60 miles per hour (97 km/h). He can also scale walls.
This episode is loosely based on "The Amazing Spider-Man" (Vol. 1) #172, #182, and #183.
