Erskine is trapped in New Guinea with a group of soldiers fighting a rearguard action. An arrogant local District Commissioner hampers Erskine in his efforts, which is complicated when an inter-tribal war starts amongst the natives.
Erskine is trapped in New Guinea with a group of soldiers fighting a rearguard action against the Japanese as he tries to meet up with some American soldiers. An arrogant local District Commissioner cannot believe the Japanese are so close and refuses to allow Erskine to use his radio to ask for help. He also believes that he can stop the Japanese by himself. The task for Erskine becomes difficult when the Japanese start an inter-tribal war amongst the natives.—jem
