  Major Kira : About everything. But let's start with Kiessa monastery.

  Ghemor : Kiessa?

  Major Kira : Ah... you were there, weren't you?

  Ghemor : Dukat told you.

  Major Kira : The Cardassian army burned Kiessa to the ground. 17 monks were killed.

  Ghemor : But they were hiding weapons for the Resistance - weapons that were being used to kill my friends.

  [tries to sit up] 

  Ghemor : It... it was... it was war. It was easy to despise you. But you... you weren't the monsters... we were.

  [she forcefully reapplies his IV drip, causing him to yelp slightly] 

  Ghemor : I wish I had never joined the military... never volunteered for duty on Bajor. But I did and I can't change that no matter how much I might want to.

  Major Kira : So, instead you hid the truth from me?

  Ghemor : No, Nerys. I didn't want you to hate me.

  Major Kira : [pours him a fresh glass of water and shoves it into his hand]  It's what you deserve.

  [she storms out] 

  Ghemor : Nerys!

  [her mind is set and Ghemor has never felt so alone]
