When the two stranded J'naii are transported onto the Enterprise's shuttle craft they are lying side by side in a straight line, but when they are transported onto the Enterprise itself the J'naii on the left is at an angle. The camera moves away and when it returns to them the J'naii is in their original position.
Soren tells Commander Riker that there are no 'hes' and 'shes' in Soren's species, but when she later speaks of her former classmate, she too uses the terms 'he' and 'him'. However, as Riker has said he feels uncomfortable using the pronoun "it," it's likely that Soren is simply adjusting her language to accommodate Riker. Also the classmate felt being male so using "he" would be logical choice.
When Riker and Soren are going over the shuttle's controls, Soren has trouble finding the "schematic reactor assembly." Even by Trek techno-babble standards, this is nonsense. A schematic is a diagram or illustration of a device. Soren should have said that she couldn't find the "schematic of the reactor assembly," or the "reactor assembly schematic." (And that's just what she gets when she finds it: an annotated diagram of the reactor assembly.)
