- In a flashback, a shot is heard off-screen signaling the death of a child from an accidentally self-inflicted wound.

- Plot is heavily drama-centered. It focuses on the death of a main character's son. He accidentally shot himself with his father's handgun. Deeper Spoilers: An alien is disguised as the aforementioned father (unconscious at this point) to find out what will cure him of his injuries. He reads his mind and detects that what he desires most is his son. Thinking that finding the son will restore his health and not understanding the concept of medical care, he visits the long-estranged mother and asks where the son is. He slowly gathers information about the tragedy that caused the separation of the mother and father. Very sad and melancholy for those old enough to understand the depth of the situation.
