The Alien Attack
claudio_carvalho24 June 2018
Warning: Spoilers
When the billionaire owner of the Colson Industries Alec Colson summons the press to tell that there was an alien attack on Earth, he tries to force the government to admit the extraterrestrial activity. The SG-1 is aware of his declarations and his advisor and friend Brian Vogler tries to force Colson to give up of his intentions since the stock market could destroy their company. Alec brings an Asgard clone to prove his assertion but Sam discredits him. The SGC unsuccessfully tries to convince Colson to give up his intentions. What will happen next?

"Covenant" is an engaging episode of "Stargate SG-1" about a man that wants to disclose to the world the existence of alien life form. The episode is well-resolved with Colson forced to keep quiet. My vote is eight.

The truth will not out
Calicodreamin1 April 2022
This episode felt like filler, didn't advance the storyline or main characters. The new characters didn't have enough depth to elicit emotions which created a very anticlimactic episode.

Book Burnings Now Make Sense
fcabanski19 September 2015
Warning: Spoilers
It's more like DVD, VHS burnings, and digital wipes, but it makes sense that people burn media. The best we can hope for with this episode is that we discover an Asgard-like race. When they're about to explode their planet, we send all the copies of this episode to that planet. We wipe any digital copies. Then the episode can blow up with the dying alien race.

Rich guy has evidence of Anubis' attack. Rich guy threatens to release evidence to the public. The U.S. government first tries to discredit rich guy, then appeals to rich guy to keep the secret.

Meanwhile, the TRUUUUUUUUUUUST tries to kill rich guy and gets to his best friend, Brian. Brian cooks the books to discredit rich guy. Brian kills himself. Government spirits Rich guy off to the Alpha site to help with research.

Rich guy is a rich guy's PR team's version of a rich guy. He's pure as the driven snow. The episode would have been somewhat watchable if Rich Guy had been more realistic: maybe walking a few fine lines, then having the TRUUUUUUUUUUUST use that line walking against him.

Seems the Stargate franchise minds were all occupied with Atlantis. Whoever was still working on SG-1 didn't seem to like SG-1. Add what appears to be a limited budget - maybe all the money was now going to make Atlantis look good. The result is lots of Earth bound drivel. This episode even used an Atlantis set for Rich Guy's office.

Skip it if you value your sanity.
