What fate omoroca

Warning: Spoilers
What fate omoroca

It was sad episode. Also, different kind of.

Those creatures were in this earth. As i understood, against Gou'ald to help humans.

I like this series, because it gives different perspectives like this. We were not alone, we are not alone, we won't be alone. Enemy or friend, it is up to us to make other creatures.

I also wonder what will that creature do in future for revenge. He is alone, i dont know why.

Tiresome Screenplay

Jack, Sam and Teal'c return to the Stargate base in shock and reveals that Daniel was burned to death in Oannes. There is a funeral ceremony in the base for Daniel. However, he is alive and submitted to an interrogation by an aquatic alien that wants to know the fate of his mate Omoroca on Earth. Soon Daniel learns that the alien has planted false memories in his friends. Will they recover their recollections and know that Daniel is still alive?

"Fire and Water" has a promising beginning, but the screenplay is tiresome with many flashbacks. However the story is well-resolved. My vote is seven.

Dead or alive

Warning: Spoilers
This is one of the weirdest episodes in SG1; one of those that begin halfway through, leaving us to discover in retrospect how things got so dire. It feels particularly odd to begin the episode with one character (apparently) dead --even though Daniel's numerous deaths will become a gimmick of the show.

Watching the rest of SG1 deal with their grief is unexpectedly interesting as it reveals a lot about the relationships between the characters and lets us into a more personal aspect of their lives. I also like the little discrepancies that gradually reveal that what really happened is very different from what they remember. Indeed, Daniel is actually held prisoner underwater by an alien named Nem, trying to discover "what fate Omorocca" (nice alien setting, by the way).

But despite SG1 being separated for most of the episode, the story lines are really similar, since they are all trying to remember past events, and end up resorting to various memory-retrieval techniques in order to solve their problems.

However, while we finally get to see what really happened when Daniel was captured, we only hear about Omorocca's tale, which makes it hard to care. I am actually rather frustrated at this part of the plot, which seems full of holes. If Nem looks this alien, how could his mate Omorocca ever pass for human? Why, for that matter, did it take Nem *3000 years* to ask about her?! And why is he going about it in such a stupid way, not even giving a clue to his prisoner? Finally, how can he be so sure that Daniel does have the information he wants? We will never know, and never hear from this again, so this is a deadend.

So while there are good things in this episode, the plot is a bit too convoluted for its own good, and it has no real impact on the overall story, which is usually how you recognise a really good episode. On second viewing, with the mystery gone, it gets a bit boring at times.

some real effects this time and a creature
trashgang15 April 2013
This one I really enjoyed because it's the first time we do actually see some kind of creature. Still, i've said it a thousand times, it's low budget so it looked like a guy in a rubber suit but still it works. What also works is the story itself. This time the episode opens with the Stargate delivering SG-1 in some kind of shock without Daniel. He's death they are sure of that fact.

What they remember isn't what happened. Now and then we go to the water scene what SG-1 remembers and there we see the faith of Daniel. Of course friendship between the team decides to travel back to rescue Daniel not being death at all.

There are a lot of flashbacks here toward the planet or water place here it all takes place. We also see Samantha freaking out, a thing we aren't used to see. False memories placed by some race living in the water and always asking about Omorocca's faith.

A rather enjoyable episode without the Gou'alds and as I said before a real creature this time.

A fish stole our researcher

This gets off to a slow start but develops into a rather interesting story. The acting is actually pretty good and the creature makeup feels authentic.

Old Gregg
jstjred29 January 2014
This episode is one of the weakest in the series.

I'm on my fourth watch-through, and this episode gets worse every time.

It has its moments of entertainment, but this particular time I can't help but feel like this episode is the reason (tragically) for the awful creation of Old Gregg.

Every time Nem opened his mouth I expected him to say, "You ever drink Bailey's from a shoe?" (And then winced and hated the guy who introduced me to something that could make this episode worse than I already thought it.)

In all honesty...it is worth watching once, but as (the better reviewer) said, this doesn't advance any plot line, doesn't show up again, and could drop out of the continuum like an unimportant filler episode.
