Dr. Daniel Jackson, played by Michael Shanks, comes up to talk to her, he says that when they were first trying to open the Stargate that he used to stand there for hours staring at it when, in fact, in the feature Stargate (1994) Dr. Daniel Jackson, played by James Spader, didn't even know about the Stargate until after he had figured out how to open it.
When the AT-4, the tube weapon commonly thought to be a bazooka, is fired at the Goa'uld ships, the Airman running behind would have been thrown back and severely injured, possibly killed, by its back blast .
O'Neill and Carter discuss how many "stars" visible from earth have a Stargate on them. No sun (star) has a Stargate on it. A planet in orbit of that star may, but not the star itself. Both should know that. However, they are presumably talking loosely and certainly don't mean to suggest that a Stargate would be on a star.
